This year’s impact forum, the 7th economic forum to take place at the New Chateau of the Kinský Family in Kostelec nad Orlicí, will focus on money and the financial system of the future. It will, as is its tradition, offer a combination of inspiring visions and practical tips. It will be held on 23 – 25 May and attendance is by invitation only. The organizers will make parts of the event public through social media channels and media partners.
This year’s keynote speaker will be David Lubin, former head of emerging markets economics at Citibank who is now with Chatham House. In his keynote he will focus on the position of the dollar, the future of the euro as well as speculations about bitcoin in central bank reserves. During Friday’s second session he will join the discussion about what is happening in Germany and by extension in the euro area.
Saturday’s program will like every year be divided into three thematic blocks. These will look at 1) geopolitics and the political economy with a focus on security, 2) the future of banks and the financial sector more generally with a special focus on the expectations and needs of gen Z, and 3) the practical effects of the changing nature of money and payment systems for individual economies and companies in the CEE region.
The official program of the 2025 impact forum, which will once again culminate with a concert on Saturday evening, will be followed by an informal working breakfast on Sunday. Representatives of a prestigious London firm that has for more than 150 years helped affluent British and international clients protect their wealth through trust funds will share their insights.
